Estheticians are skincare professionals who know how to deal with difficult skin issues such as acne grade III, cystic acne, or a compromised skin barrier. Oftentimes people are not using the correct products for their actual skin type or are not using products properly, which can result in further skin damage. Estheticians are trained to see these subtle differences in the skin and can guide you on what products to use and how to manage these skin issues the right way. If something is out of an esthetician’s scope of practice, she can direct you to your health care professional.

Some services, such as microneedling or chemical peels, require a pre-procedure consultation. We schedule this 30-minute consultation before the appointment to make sure you are well informed about what the treatment entails and if you are a good candidate. If you’re not, we can discuss alternative options.

In most cases yes. Some people have more reactive skin, and usually the redness will go away on its own. The amount of redness also depends on the treatment received. If you are a new client I do check in after 24 hours, but you can contact me at any time with any concerns. Depending on the situation, I will refer you to your health care professional if I feel that’s needed.
